A closer look at the Adidas LX Con Lexicon silhouette by Jonah Hill
2019 will be an interesting year for ADIDAS. Adding to their plethora of new silhouettes is the Lexicon which was first spotted on actor and director, Jonah Hill who is famous for his roles in "Wolf of Wall Street", "War Dogs" and more.
The overall feel of the sneaker is definitely more Y-3 than it is Ultra Boost or NMDs. The shape has definitely obtained some influence from the Prophere series. The Lexicon features a lightweight mesh upper, not Primeknit, which has stitched fabric on the lateral and medial sides which also forms the 3-stripes branding.
This shoe also has a very unique lacing method where a clear tube runs all the way from from the toe-box to the heel, and runs through the stitched 3-stripes fabric, allowing its rope laces to wrap around the tubing, which acts as an eyelet. Confusing, I know but just take a look at the pictures to understand :)
A chunky Adiprene midsole forms the base of the shoe with a gum colored outsole. So far, we have only seen a black/white and a sand/teal/purple colorway and we may or may not see new colors when the official launch date is announced. These are set to release in the first quarter of 2019. We have heard rumors that it will be launching on Jan 26th but its has yet to be confirmed.
