From self-lacing technology, 3D soles to pizza ordering sneakers, we are in no doubt that technological innovation is the driving force and the winning formula behind the industry giants. Whoever innovates and creates the best product, will win the hearts and loyalty of the fans.
When the BOOST technology appeared for the first time, fans went totally wild. The Ultra Boosts sold out instantly and when they matched it up with the NMD, it was a sure-fire win too. However, based on their last massive release on the 6th April, one can't help but feel that there is a slow-down of the hype associated with the Ultra Boost and NMDs. Almost all colorways were sitting on shelves in retail stores and on social media, communities were bashing on the R2s and its design.
The ADIDAS Futurecraft 4D might be able to help out in the months to come. Apparently made using Light and Oxygen through a process called Digital Light Synthesis, this process uses digital light projection, oxygen-permeable optics, and programmable liquid resins to generate durable products. ADIDAS plans to mass-produce these in 2018.
There will be a special release for Family & Friends soon and also release 5000 pairs for retails this winter. Will you be one of the lucky ones?
