In a market dominated by ADIDAS and NIKE, New Balance sneakers were over-shadowed by Flyknit Racers, NMDs and Ultra Boosts. New Balance sneakers were always one of the best looking casual sneakers in my opinion, the simplicity and myriad of colorways was extremely appealing but yet, it never took off as much as the NMDs or Ultra Boosts did.
In the past 2 years, sneakers that combined performance and streetwear were the best-selling and appealed the most to the consumers. New Balance sneakers were not really for performance, but more for a casual look.
However, with this introduction of the New Balance 247 Sport, New Balance is trying to grab a piece of the pie. The combination of an engineered mesh and synthetic nubuck for a comfortable fit.
It has a 998 Inspired sole and also a Revlite foam.
Having 4 pairs of eyelets, this means that any laces from the Ultra Boost Shoelaces collection is able to fit on the New Balance 247 Sport.
